It is a great time to be a part of TCCS! We are anticipating God’s blessing and increase on next year’s school body. The mission of Tri-Cty Christian School is to assist Christian parents by preparing their students for life and eternity with the goal of leading and impacting our culture for Christ. Our desire is to assist you, realizing that the responsibility for a child’s education and development lies with the parents. We seek to help you excel in this area by partnering and assisting you, by providing an education within a biblical worldview framework. We are here to serve families who believe that the next generation must impact their world positively for Christ in whatever field God has chosen for them to serve in (law, medicine, research, technology, music and the arts, business, ministry, military, etc.)
Please pray with us as we begin this process, that God would be honored in all that we do as we prepare for next year. We are looking forward to what God has in store for TCCS.
Enclosed are your enrollment materials for the 2007-08 school year. Let me encourage you to carefully read and return the appropriate forms fully completed with your registration fee, as soon as possible. Enrollment applications will not be processed unless all forms are returned at the same time. Please attach registration fee of $385 with the application. Our registration fee has been set at this amount due to the need for a solid commitment from parents prior to hiring staff. Registration is non-refundable for any reason other than non-acceptance by the school, in the circumstance of no available space in that grade level, or move beyond a fifty mile radius of the school.
Refer to the enclosed fee schedule for additional tuition information. We will not be able to hold a position for your child until the enclosed material has been returned complete and the registration fee is paid. The following checklist summarizes the process- One application per student and five other signed forms plus a FACTS form (available at the school office), if parents are not paying a one-time payment:
__1) The enclosed application should be completed and signed for each child enrolling.
__2) A registration fee of $385 should accompany each application.
__3) The “Authorization for Medical Treatment” form should be filled out completely and signed in front of a school witness.
__4) The school’s Statement of Faith, The Internet & School Publication Permission Form, and Parent Directory Information Form should be carefully read and signed.
__5) The Financial Agreement Contract should be carefully read and filled out completely. (Monthly payments require a FACTS agreement form)
__6) Parent-School Forms must be carefully read and signed. (Please prayerfully consider all of the statements in this form prior to signing. It is important that TCCS parents understand the importance of their role in this ministry.)
Please understand the completion of a application does not automatically guarantee a seat for next school year. Each enrollment application will be considered based on its own merit. New 7th-12th grade students will need to be able to provide two completed reference forms (one from a church pastor or leader, and one from a professional, such as a teacher). Out-of-state applicants can, in lieu of the reference forms, provide phone numbers of their former school and another contact for phone, fax or email references. You will be contacted to come to the school for testing and a family interview based on class availability. Enclosed is the “Frequently Asked Questions” that will give you more information about our school. Please feel free to address any other questions in your family interview, which is a great opportunity for building our new relationship. Tri-City Christian School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. After the interview process, testing, reference reviewsand all information is received, you will be notified by letter as to the status of your child’s acceptance. Status possibilities are:
1. Accepted, in which you will be sent additional materials for next school year. 2. Conditional Acceptance, based on the need for parental conference, additional testing, and/or behavioral contract.
3. Acceptance Deferred, believing that God has a different direction for this student and his family. If the status is deferred, you may contact our business office to request the refund of your registration fee.
Below, once again, is a summary of our enrollment process. We look forward to working with you to serve your student. REGISTRATION PROCESS:
1. Fill out all the above forms and turn them into the school with the $385 registration fee.
2. After the current students, siblings, and TCBC church members have registered you will be contacted to come to the school for testing and a family interview (in some cases more than one interview might be required). Based on class availability and result of interview and testing a student will be sent a letter on enrollment status. New 7th-12th grade students will at this time bring in two completed reference forms (one from a church pastor or leader, and one from a professional, such as a teacher). Out-of-state applicants can, in lieu of the reference forms, provide phone numbers of former school and another contact for phone references.
3. If the grade your student is applying for is full, you will be contacted and given the option to drop out of the enrollment process and we will refund your $385 or leave your student in a waiting pool. If you decide to leave him/her in the waiting pool (many times students move and positions open up), we will hold your enrollment fee until a position opens up or school begins. If no position opens by then, you will be refunded your $385* enrollment fee. This $385 enrollment amount will be refunded only if:
1) a spot doesn’t open up
2) your student is interviewed but not accepted
3) your family moves 50 or more miles away from the school.
If the enrollment fee is refunded, your student will be removed from the waiting pool. (*Due to the financial commitment to staff we are not able to refund registration based on a local family move, a shift in financial situation, or change of mind.) In conclusion, I am excited about next school year and the new families God will bring to our ministry.
